Job summary

Procureon B.V. is seeking a Tactical Buyer to manage CAPEX and MRO procurement in a medium‑sized international manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and IT to optimize supplier performance and advance procurement processes.

Responsibilities include supplier relationship management, tenders and negotiations, leading procurement projects, developing sourcing strategies and processing purchase orders, while supporting CAPEX initiatives.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong communication and negotiation skills

• Fluent in English; Dutch/German a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred

Job description

For an international and growing organization (manufacturer for the foodindustry), we are looking for a Tactical Buyer. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for a broad range of procurement activities with a focus on CAPEX and MRO. You will work closely with departments such as Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT, and will have ample opportunity to improve supplier performance, further professionalize procurement processes, and take on projects independently.

What will you be doing?

As a Tactical Buyer in this broad role, you’ll navigate the intersection of operational, tactical, and strategic procurement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and optimizing supplier relationships and contracts
• Conducting tenders and commercial negotiations
• Leading and supporting various procurement projects
• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies
• Preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders
• Supporting CAPEX projects and technical procurement issues
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders from various disciplines
• Contributing to the further professionalization of the procurement organization
• Identifying and implementing improvements in supplier management and procurement processes

The procurement portfolio consists mostly of CAPEX investments and MRO for the technical organization, in a later phase some IT-related procurement could be added to the portfolio.

Who are we looking for?

You are an selfstarting and communicative procurement professional who feels comfortable in a medium-size international manufacturing environment. You have a pragmatic mindset, can negotiate firmly when necessary, and at the same time understand the importance of stakeholder management and collaboration, switching from more operational issues untill negotiating contracts for investments whilst spotting opportunity's for further improvement and professionalization.

You preferably have:

• A college-level education and way of thinking, for example in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
• NEVI 1 and/or NEVI 2 certification (or other theoretical basis in this field) is a strong plus
• Several years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, with CAPEX & MRO related projects
• Experience independently executing or supervising projects
• An affinity for technology or technical procurement
• Proficiency in English is a MUST, Dutch and German are a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• NEVI 1 and/or NEVI 2 certification is a strong plus
• Selfstarter, independant and strong communication, and negotiation skills

We are explicitly not looking for a candidate who merely monitors processes. You are proactive, take responsibility and know when to stand your ground and when flexibility is better for the project’s outcome.
