Job summary

Quatt is accelerating the energy transition by developing the smartest heat pump ecosystem in the Netherlands. As a Systems & Control Engineer, you will develop models and algorithms to estimate, monitor, and control home energy products and services, enabling tens of thousands of Dutch homes to save money and energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Control, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of work experience in systems control, energy management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing models for control.
• You communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with stakeholders across different teams and levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop first-principles, gray-box or black-box models of home energy products including HVAC components and batteries.
• Develop state estimators to accurately track the state of the home energy ecosystem in real-time
• Design and refine algorithms for home energy management, ensuring comfort, energy efficiency and reliability objectives are met
• Develop/update simulation environments to test and compare control designs
• Work in cross-functional teams to integrate modeling and control algorithms into the Quatt product and software ecosystem.
