Job summary

smartQare is seeking a System Test Engineer to strengthen our MedTech backend testing and integration efforts in Eindhoven.

You design, execute, and automate tests for our cloud platform and perform system integration testing of the viQtor wearable, collaborating with a skilled team.

The role requires a BA/MSc in a relevant field, 3+ years in testing, cloud/AWS knowledge, and fluency in Dutch and English; we offer a one-year contract with growth opportunities and international projects.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with backend software testing and embedded device testing (manual and automated).
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation tools.
• Experience with system integration testing (hardware/software integration) and interoperability testing between software systems is a strong plus.
• Affinity with backend development (e.g. Python, Java, Golang) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, in particular AWS, and databases.
• Affinity with the healthcare sector and knowledge of medical regulations is a bonus (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, GDPR).
• Strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and team spirit.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and automate tests for backend software.
• Perform system integration testing of the viQtor wearable.
• Conduct interoperability testing between viQtor backend and third-party CIMS.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality and reliability.
