Job summary

Prodrive Technologies in Eindhoven is seeking a System Engineer specialized in Compliance & Safety to drive product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across embedded computing systems.

You will guide development from concept to certification, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate standards into practical designs to enable global market access. Fluency in English and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in product compliance and certification.
  • Knowledge of IEC/EN safety standards, UL, EMC, RoHS, REACH.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical/compliance docs.
  • Experience executing or supporting compliance testing programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Drive compliance and certification activities for CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, and REACH.
  • Support product development teams with compliance expertise throughout the lifecycle.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical design solutions that support product innovation and market access.
  • Specify and execute verification activities for electrical safety, EMC, and environmental compliance.
  • Contribute to product safety and risk management activities, including DFMEA, PFMEA, and product risk assessments.
  • Investigate and resolve complex compliance, safety and EMC challenges.
  • Lead certification activities with external laboratories, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities to achieve timely product approvals.
  • Support prototype builds and manufacturing activities from a compliance and safety perspective.
  • Evaluate the technical and compliance impact of engineering change requests throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, declarations of conformity, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
  • Ensuring compliance documentation remains accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

Job description

To strengthen our Engineering team, we are looking for a System Engineer with experience in Compliance & Safety who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for product safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you play a key part in bringing advanced embedded computing systems to market by ensuring compliance with international safety, EMC, and environmental standards, enabling market access worldwide. You will work on high-performance embedded computing systems that power applications in semiconductor, healthcare and industrial markets.

About the role

As the System Engineer – Compliance & Safety within a multidisciplinary development team, you will guide the product development from the early concept to full product certification and production release. By combining technical insight, problem-solving skills, and regulatory expertise, you will help bring innovative products to market while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Drive compliance and certification activities for advanced embedded computing systems targeting global markets, including CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, and REACH.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ of experience with product compliance and certification activities in a high-tech development environment.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations, including: IEC and EN safety standards, UL standards, EMC requirements, RoHS, REACH, and environmental legislation
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical and compliance documentation.
  • Experience executing or supporting compliance testing programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
