Job summary

Prodrive Technologies is seeking a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to own electronic and mechanical interfaces for high-tech equipment. You will design complete power distribution, generate system schematics, and translate them into 3D layouts for production.

With 3+ years of experience, you will work across disciplines to meet safety standards, validate functions, and drive subsystems from concept to release. A strong English background is essential for collaboration in a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• 3+ years of experience creating system-level schematics.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
• Strong understanding of integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Hands-on mindset for design and validation activities.
• Knowledge of Zuken E3 or EPLAN is helpful.
• Experience with cable routing and electrical integration in complex systems.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design complete power distribution systems for high-tech machines and integrated systems.
• Create system-level schematics covering actuators, drives, sensors, safety components, and control hardware.
• Develop electrical documentation using Zuken E3.
• Define system architecture, hardware placement, and routing strategies.
• Translate schematic designs into 3D layouts and cable routing using Siemens NX.
• Design PDUs, electrical cabinets, housings, enclosures, and supporting mechanical structures.
• Implement machine safety concepts in line with CE requirements.
• Develop and validate safety functions using B&R Safety PLCs (learning on the job possible).
• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve the systems you have designed.
• Take full ownership of your subsystem from concept to production release.

About the role

As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical architecture, power distribution, mechanical integration, safety implementation, and validation of complex integrated systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and see your designs come to life on the production floor.

Your responsibilities are:

• Design complete power distribution systems, including all cabling and interconnections for high-tech machines and integrated systems.
• Create system-level schematics covering actuators, drives, sensors, power supplies, safety components, and control hardware.
• Develop electrical documentation using Zuken E3
• Define system architecture, hardware placement, and routing strategies.
• Translate schematic designs into 3D layouts and cable routing using Siemens NX.
• Design Power Distribution Units (PDUs), electrical cabinets, housings, enclosures, and supporting mechanical structures.
• Implement machine safety concepts in accordance with applicable standards and CE requirements.
• Develop and validate safety functions using B&R Safety PLCs (experience is a plus but can be learned on the job).
• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve the systems you have designed.
• Take full ownership of your subsystem from initial concept through production release and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with creating system-level schematics.
• Experience with 3D CAD software preferably Siemens NX.
• Strong understanding of the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
