Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, implement, test and deploy rack system solutions for data center and enterprise customers. You will lead tests for cluster, storage, HPC and cloud infrastructures, ensuring deployments meet customer requirements.

The role involves writing test procedures, automating tasks with scripts, benchmarking server hardware and networking, and documenting results. Travel up to 50% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years Linux/Network troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP and application protocols.
• Experience with HPC, AI or cloud benchmark tests, networking architecture.
• Exposure to visualization tech and cloud computing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight timelines.
• Certifications such as CCNA, AWS, RHCE, RHCSA or LPIC-1/2 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, visualize, and analyze test results; write test reports and SOPs.
• Write scripts to automate deployment and test environments.
• Frequent international travel as required (up to 50%).

Job Summary:

Senior Test Engineer plays an important role in designing, implementing, testing and deploying rack system solutions for data center and enterprise customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deploy cluster/storage infrastructures and perform the tests accordingly.
• Leads the day-to-day operational support for Cluster, Storage, HPC and Cloud infrastructures.
• Builds and tests complex cluster and cloud platforms to meeting customer's requirement.
• Documents complex test procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to servers/networks/clusters software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Provide fixes in a timely manner.
• Conduct tests and benchmarks against server hardware, storage, network, applications, HPC and Machine Learning workflows.
• Collect, visualize, and analyze test and benchmark results.
• Write technical documentation including test report and standard operating procedure.
• Write script to automate tasks including cluster deployment and test environment.
• International travel as required (50%).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of Linux/Network skills with proven troubleshooting and optimization skills.
• Familiar with TCP/IP protocol stack, UDP, IPv4-IPv6, DNS, DHCP and other Application level protocols..
• Familiar with HPC, AI or Cloud benchmark tests, networking architecture.
• Experience with Visualization technology and cloud computing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Working independently under aggressive timeliness.
• It's a plus if you have CCNA, AWS, COA, RHCE, RHCSA, or LPIC-1 / LPIC-2 certifications.
• Positive attitude, desire to learn, time management, and strong interpersonal skills are a plus.
