Job summary

Swapfiets in Amsterdam is seeking a Sustainability Intern to help drive our circular ambitions. You will join the Sustainability team, work on a flexible project from start to finish, and gain hands-on experience delivering real impact for cities and the planet.

The role combines data gathering, cross-department collaboration, and content creation, with an emphasis on learning, growth, and a supportive, fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a University/HBO programme focused on a relevant field of study, e.g. sustainable development, circular economy, environmental studies.
• Be available for a 6-month internship starting September/October.
• Be available for 40 hours per week.
• Live in or near Amsterdam.
• Passionate about sustainability and circular economy.
• Must be enrolled in university for the entire duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support a real sustainability project from start to finish with cross-department involvement.
• Gather and analyze relevant data, define scope, and support rollout.
• Collaborate with different teams and communicate progress and outcomes.
• Create content and contribute to engagement internally and externally.
