Job summary

Aviko NL is seeking a Sustainability Business Lead to translate sustainability ambitions into commercially viable solutions across the value chain. You will identify opportunities, build business cases, and embed sustainability into our commercial strategy, reporting to the Sustainability Manager.

In this international role, you will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Agro, Procurement and Supply Chain, work with Royal Cosun, and help turn climate, regenerative agriculture and circularity

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Economics, Sustainability, Agri & Food or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy or value chain management.
• Experience developing business cases and commercial propositions.
• Fluency in English; Dutch preferred and German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Co-developing and implementing Aviko's commercial sustainability strategy.
• Translating sustainability ambitions into customer-focused value propositions.
• Building business cases that demonstrate both commercial and sustainability value.
• Identifying opportunities where sustainability strengthens customer relationships, competitiveness and business growth.
• Supporting the Sales organisation in customer conversations, tenders and strategic accounts.
• Bringing together colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Agro, Procurement and Supply Chain to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Managing sustainability projects from concept through implementation.
• Sharing knowledge and best practices to further embed sustainability throughout the organisation.
• Collaborating with Royal Cosun colleagues to develop shared approaches and commercial opportunities.

To strengthen this ambition, we are looking for a Sustainability Business Lead.

In this newly created role, you will connect sustainability with commercial opportunities. Rather than focusing on reporting and compliance, you will help turn sustainability initiatives into customer value, business growth and competitive advantage.

You will report to the Sustainability Manager and work closely with colleagues across Global Marketing & Sales, Agro, Procurement and Supply Chain. You will also collaborate with colleagues across Royal Cosun to share knowledge and develop joint propositions.

Qualifications

You are commercially minded, proactive and enjoy connecting people, ideas and opportunities. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality and know how to turn ideas into results.

You also bring:

• A Master's degree in Business, Economics, Sustainability, Agri & Food or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy or value chain management.
• A strong affinity with sustainability and the ambition to further develop your expertise in this field.
• Experience developing business cases and commercial propositions.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, international environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English. Dutch is preferred and German is considered a plus.

Experience with topics such as climate, regenerative agriculture, Scope 3 or circularity is an advantage.
