Job summary

Simvia, Amsterdam-based, is seeking a Business Development Associate to drive lead generation in Benelux. You will identify potential leads, perform cold outreach, and set appointments to fuel Account Executives with high-quality opportunities for sustainable food-supply partnerships.

You’ll join a fast-growing team with a flexible hybrid work setup, access to an Amsterdam office with team events, and opportunities to advance as the company scales rapidly.

Qualifications

• Dutch fluency is required to engage with Benelux clients.
• 1+ years in a similar role such as marketing, client services or sales.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll proactively identify and reach out to potential leads. Through cold calling, emailing, social and targeted outreach, you’ll connect with key decision-makers in the Benelux, introducing Simvia’s solutions and securing meetings for our sales team. Your work ensures that our Account Executives have full schedules of high-quality opportunities, setting the foundation for meaningful partnerships that drive sustainable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead generation: Proactively identify and research potential leads in Benelux markets to create new opportunities;
• Cold outreach: Initiate cold calls and targeted outreach to engage decision-makers and introduce Simvia’s solutions;
• Appointment setting: Secure meetings with prospects, ensuring a steady stream of qualified opportunities for the Account Executives;
• Pipeline management: Maintain and update the CRM system to track leads, ensuring a full pipeline for the sales team;
• Continuous improvement: Building industry knowledge and developing your skills supported by an experienced team around you.

Job Requirements

• Motivated to grow and learn: You are a curios, excited about learning new skills and building a career in sales;
• Early career growth: 1+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in marketing, client services, business development or sales;
• Dutch fluency:Proficiency in Dutch is required to establish strong client relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders in the Benelux market
• Team-orientated mindset: A desire to contribute to building a strong foundation for Simvia’s future growth, together with the team.
• Strong communicator: You express yourself clearly and warmly, and feel comfortable picking up the phone to build genuine rapport with decision-makers.
• Proactive hunter mentality: You take ownership of your outreach, with a focus on cold calling and being consistent to secure meetings with potential leads, ensuring the Account Executives have a steady pipeline;
• Organise & result-oriented: Skilled at prioritising and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
