Job summary

Hunter Douglas in Rotterdam, Netherlands, is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Intern to support quality improvement initiatives across the EMEA network. You will analyse customer claims, identify trends and help implement governance routines with manufacturing sites and commercial teams.

This hybrid internship (on site four days a week) offers hands-on experience with data analytics, Lean Six Sigma tools, and digital tools to make quality metrics transparent.

Qualifications

• Studying relevant field: SCM, IE, Ops Mgmt or Quality Mgmt.
• Interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data.
• Curious about digitalization and AI tools; willingness to build simple apps.
• Willing to collaborate with international teams.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or quality tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer claims and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation of a common quality management routine across EMEA manufacturing sites.
• Coordinate with local Quality Managers to investigate issues and drive corrective actions.
• Apply structured problem-solving using tools such as 8D, root cause analysis and 5 Whys.
• Monitor quality KPIs and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Develop user-friendly dashboards and digital tools for quality reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive data analysis.
• Prioritize improvement projects based on customer impact and financial exposure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality across the supply chain.
• Document best practices and support rollout of standardized processes.
