Job summary

You ensure that production is planned as efficiently as possible by balancing demand, production capacity and material availability. You also coordinate raw material planning.

You work closely with colleagues in customer service, production, procurement and logistics.

Production planning

Orders are entered into SAP by customer service. You ensure that all orders are planned as efficiently as possible across the various production lines. In doing so, you take into account capacity, workload, changeover times, available raw materials, lead times, transportation times, etc.

You continuously analyze production capacity, identify potential bottlenecks at an early stage and make adjustments where necessary to keep the planning as efficient as possible.

Material procurement

Based on demand, planning, lead times and defined safety stock levels, you determine the required inventory levels for raw materials and semi-finished products. You optimize these levels to achieve the desired service level while maintaining inventory as efficiently as possible. In doing so, you take into account lead times, material usage, working capital, storage capacity and customer order history.

You then place purchase orders with suppliers, most of which operate internationally. Some of these are group suppliers based in Italy. You manage the orders to ensure on‑time delivery and continuity of supply.

Data analysis

You are responsible for keeping planning parameters and master data in SAP accurate and up to date. You also support the Supply Chain Manager by preparing reports for international S&OP meetings covering the order book, forecasts, budget versus actuals, inventory levels, etc. You extract data from SAP using Power BI and Excel, analyze it and translate it into useful reports.

Requirements for the Supply Chain Planner

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain planning, production planning, material planning andor inventory management.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• You live in the Netherlands, within commuting distance of Zwolle.
• You have a good command of English. Italian and/or Dutch would be an advantage.

Your personal qualities as a Supply Chain Planner

You have strong analytical skills and good problem-solving abilities. You are able to maintain an overview, set priorities and adapt quickly when the planning requires it. You work accurately, have a strong affinity with numbers and pay close attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

As you work closely with different departments and international suppliers on a daily basis, strong communication skills are important. You actively seek collaboration, communicate clearly and are confident in raising concerns when you identify potential bottlenecks or risks. You are proactive, think ahead and are motivated by continuously improving planning and processes.

• A gross annual salary up to 50.000 EUR based on 40 hours/week employment, depending on education, skills and experience. Candidates who bring specific and demonstrable industry expertise may qualify for a higher salary.
