Job summary

OEG Energy Group in Den Helder, The Netherlands, seeks a Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, engage with prospective and existing clients, and contribute to the subsea division's growth.

You will work under the Commercial Director, manage parts of the sales pipeline, support tendering, and collaborate with marketing and operations to achieve commercial targets.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in business development or commercial roles within the offshore, subsea, or energy sectors.
• Proven ability to generate leads and convert them into commercial opportunities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with project lifecycles, basic contract terms, and risk awareness.
• Competence in CRM software and data-driven sales reporting.
• Collaborate and be self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets within subsea and offshore energy sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact and promoting the company’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to implement strategic initiatives and meet targets.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and growth areas.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and capability statements tailored to customer needs.
• Maintain and update CRM with opportunity and contact information; ensure pipeline reporting accuracy.
• Support the tender and proposal process with internal bid teams.
• Attend industry events and conferences to represent the Subsea Division and build networks.
• Contribute to marketing and promotional activities with central marketing.
• Provide regular performance and market updates to the Commercial Director.
• Uphold and promote QHSE policies and business values.
