InAxtion is seeking a Structural Steel Fitter to join our skilled team on industrial, shipbuilding, and superyacht projects. You will assemble, fit, and install steel structures with precision, following technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include measuring, marking, cutting, and preparing components for final assembly or welding. A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience and ability to read drawings are essential; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience as a Structural Steel Fitter or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Welding experience is an advantage and safety awareness is essential.

Are you an experienced Structural Steel Fitter with a strong background in assembling and fitting steel constructions? Do you enjoy working with steel, technical drawings, and precision fitting? Then InAxtion is looking for you!

As a Structural Steel Fitter, you will work on challenging projects within the industrial, shipbuilding, and superyacht sectors. Your main responsibility is to assemble, fit, align, and install steel constructions and structural components according to technical drawings and specifications.

You will work with different types of steel structures, from frames and foundations to floors, platforms, supports, and other structural components. Accuracy is essential: you make sure every component is correctly measured, positioned, fitted, and prepared for final installation or welding.

Your responsibilities

• Assembling and fitting steel constructions and structural components.
• Positioning, aligning, and accurately fitting steel parts according to technical drawings.
• Measuring and marking steel components to ensure correct dimensions and positioning.
• Tack welding and preparing assembled constructions for final welding.
• Fabricating and assembling frames, foundations, supports, platforms, floors, and other steel structures.
• Installing steel constructions and components in technical spaces and other project areas.
• Cutting, grinding, drilling, and preparing steel components for assembly.
• Performing welding and fabrication work where required.
• Modifying and adjusting steel constructions to achieve the correct fit and alignment.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, construction plans, and schematics.
• Working closely with welders, pipefitters, mechanics, and other technical colleagues.
• Checking dimensions, alignment, and the quality of completed assemblies.
• Working safely and in accordance with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.

What we are looking for

• Completed technical education in Metalworking, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Structural Steel Fitter, Steel Fitter, Construction Fitter, Metalworker, or similar role.
• Solid experience with assembling and fitting steel constructions.
• Good understanding of steel fabrication, fitting, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and construction plans.
• Experience with measuring, aligning, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting steel components.
• Welding experience is an advantage.
• Experience in industrial construction, shipbuilding, or superyacht construction is an advantage.
• Ability to work accurately and independently.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication skills in English and/or Dutch.
• A proactive attitude and strong focus on safety and quality.
