Hopper Engineering is looking for Structural/Seismic Engineers.

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer you make numerical models, work with 3d scans and point clouds, deeply understand the standard Dutch construction, make hand calculations and report writing. We are looking for people to model and run Non-linear Dynamic Analyses (including soil-structure interaction) for the seismic assessment and retrofit of existing buildings.

You interact with 3d Revit modelers, draughtsman, architects, cost estimators and other people involved in the project. We are looking for people with a good seismic background to make seismic assessment and retrofit of buildings.

Job Requirements

• 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering (experience/knowledge on pushover analyses, Non-linear kinematic analyses and time histories is an advantage). If no experience, it is important to show the seismic background through the academic studies;
• Knowledge of the following software packages are a strength: Extreme Loading for Stracture (the most important), 3Muri, Midas, Revit and Autocad;
• Visual basic (MS excel) scripting skills and/or Python are very welcome;
• Knowledge on masonry is a strength;
• Extreme willingness to learn;
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
