The City of Crestwood Public Works Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Worker I or II. Performs labor required in order to maintain the City's 50 miles of streets and 120 acres of park properties. Operates various trucks, light and heavy equipment. Performs semi-skilled work that will involve strenuous physical exertion, including asphalt patching, concrete work, crack sealing, grading, forestry, horticulture, landscaping retaining walls, painting, carpentry, and trash removal from City properties. Maintenance employees are on-call during winter months to remove snow and ice from City streets, parks, sidewalks, and steps. Frequent lifting and moving of light and heavy objects are required. Work includes non-routine, weekend, and emergency hours. Must have the ability to work in extreme temperatures. Performs other duties as assigned.
ucation, qualifications, and experience required: The qualified applicant will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of street maintenance, equipment/truck operations, snow removal procedures, construction, etc., is preferred.
