Job summary

ING Nederland is seeking a Senior Vendor Manager to lead Source-to-Contract processes and contract lifecycle governance. You will drive supplier strategies, monitor performance, and negotiate major agreements with business impact.

With 6+ years in procurement and strong English and Dutch language skills, you’ll partner across categories in a hybrid Amsterdam-based role, delivering sustainable procurement value.

Qualifications

• >6 years in Procurement/Vendor Management area, preferably at a strategic level and preferably in an international financial services provider organisation.
• >2 year managing vendor relationships, preferably at a strategic level in the Technology category. Main knowledge focus on software and services.
• Experience with offshore teams.
• Master English business language/communication perfectly (spoken as well as written). Dutch Language required for role.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Source-to-Contract processes and manage the contract lifecycle for strategic accounts.
• Develop vendor plans with clear objectives, focus areas, and value-creation items.
• Monitor vendor performance and third-party risk, ensuring contract obligations are met.
• Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes; manage contract approvals and sign-offs.
• Collaborate with Business Contract Owner and Category Managers to align supplier strategy.
• Consolidate suppliers and maintain a preferred supplier list; provide input for category plans.
