Job summary

ING in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) seeks an experienced Technology procurement leader to own the global category strategy for technology across a multi-country environment. You will drive sourcing, governance and supplier partnerships to deliver cost and ESG improvements while enabling an effective, inclusive procurement organization.

You will lead a high-performing global team, manage stakeholder expectations, and translate market insights into strategic opportunities that align with ING's

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Successful track record of full technology end-to-end category management and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Track record of developing a global technology category strategy with an implementation plan and sign-off across a complex organisation.
• Deep knowledge of the financial regulatory environment and the risks and opportunities in technology.
• Deep knowledge of market trends and innovations and translating them into procurement opportunities.
• Deep knowledge of leading procurement practices in Technology category management to drive competitive changes.
• Ability to influence, direct and regulate the activity of key technology stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of sustainability practices and reducing technology supply chain impact.
• Commercial drive and high self-motivation with strong risk awareness.
• Leadership to motivate multiple direct and indirect teams and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to connect people, be a role model and foster inclusion.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and be culturally adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Setting the delivery of technology category management across all in-scope global services and consolidating regional plans into a single strategy.
• Executing initiatives to improve cost, reduce risk, drive ESG improvements and enhance colleague experience.
• Developing deep insight into global technology spend, contracts, requirements and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
• Driving commercial value and operational excellence across the technology category through sourcing, demand management, standardisation and digitisation.
• Building and managing strategic supplier partnerships to enhance service and mitigate risks.
• Establishing governance, policies and forums that align stakeholders and provide transparent reporting.
• Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing global procurement team.
• Conducting regular market research to identify best-in-class solutions for ING.
