Job summary

TNO in The Hague is seeking an Operational Radar Expert to advance radar concepts and transform analytical results into actionable defence solutions. You will work at the intersection of research and operations, developing models, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

You bring a strong MSc in a technical field, a passion for electromagnetics and signal processing, and excellent Dutch/English communication.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in a technical or scientific field such as Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrable affinity with electromagnetics, signal processing, modelling and simulation through study or work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply new radar concepts, models and algorithms.
• Assess the effectiveness of radar systems and operational concepts.
• Document results in reports and simulations and present findings to project teams and clients.
• Act as a bridge between radar technology developments and practical defence applications.
