Job summary

TNO Defence, Safety & Security seeks a Project Manager for the Electromagnetics & Military Operations division in The Hague. You will bridge researchers, engineers, clients and stakeholders to deliver structured, goal-oriented research projects in radar, EW, sensors and control systems.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex scopes, and drive innovation with a societal impact, working in a hybrid setup within the UMBRA environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in a technical field.
• Experience with project management in technical, research, or innovation environments.
• Ability to organize and coordinate complex multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect people and disciplines.
• Affinity with Defence, security, and technological innovation.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, and coordinate research and innovation projects.
• Align objectives, planning, and scope with clients and project teams.
• Monitor progress, budgets, risks, and quality.
• Connect multidisciplinary teams and areas of expertise.
• Report progress and results to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities/risks and take corrective action when needed.
• Further professionalise project management within EMO.
