Job summary

Amsterdam UMC Research BV is seeking an enthusiastic Programme Manager for the Healthy Future strategic theme. You will collaborate with programme leads, the Programme Council, and multiple faculties to translate research into societal impact.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including developing the structural entity, building partnerships, and coordinating calls for proposals. Hybrid working with 20–24 hours per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD preferred, within academic or research environment.
• Experience in programme or project management and building collaborations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Support programme leads in strategic and organisational management.
• Help develop Healthy Future into a structural entity (centre, institutie, alliance).
• Build and maintain the UvA network with researchers and partners.
• Identify opportunities for collaborations, large-scale research, funding.
• Monitor scientific, societal and policy developments for initiatives.
• Organise workshops and meetings to advance the Healthy Future agenda.
• Coordinate calls for proposals and monitor related procedures.
• Support financial management of the programme.
• Contribute to visibility and positioning of Healthy Future.
• Assist with administrative tasks and scheduling
