Job summary

Robeco is seeking a Senior External Communications Specialist to set and deliver media relations and PR, shaping the corporate narrative and protecting the firm’s reputation globally.

Based in Rotterdam or willing to be present, you will collaborate with the ExCo, align internal and external communications, and guide strategic messaging on investing, sustainability and long-term value.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in external communications or media relations, preferably within asset management or financial services.
• Established, highly active network of financial journalists, editors and opinion leaders across investment, sustainability and markets-focused media.
• Able to pitch ideas and build on existing relationships from day one, not start from scratch.
• Asset-management and sustainability fluency, with credibility to advise senior leaders and engage in technical conversations.

Responsibilities

• Set and own a proactive global external and PR strategy, building an international journalist network.
• Advise ExCo and senior leaders on media engagement, act as a spokesperson when needed, and develop narratives and speeches.
• Identify emerging topics, market trends and regulatory developments to shape strategic messaging.
• Demonstrate credibility across sustainable investing, quantitative strategies and AI-related topics to inform external communications.
