Job summary

Trinseo in Utrecht, Netherlands, is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive profitable growth in the recycled plastics business. You will develop customer relationships, lead commercial activities, negotiate contracts, and align procurement, operations and customers to accelerate the circular economy.

This 12‑month contract offers the opportunity to transition to permanent, with a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and meaningful impact in reducing plastic waste.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience within plastics, recycling, packaging, polymers, waste management, or related industries.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, account management, and commercial negotiations.
• Network with recycled polymers market and experience with polymers such as PS/rPS, ABS/rABS, SAN, PC, PMMA or other recycle and sustainable material solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across recycled plastic markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with converters, compounders, manufacturers, traders, and brand owners.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, negotiations, contract management, and account development.
• Develop strategic partnerships that support long‑term business growth.
