Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Category Manager for Asian & Tribal, based in the Netherlands with a hybrid work setup. You will lead an international team, build strong seller networks, and shape the growth strategy for a globally-reaching category.

You will own the category’s performance, set growth bets, and drive collaboration across Sales, Marketing and Operations to optimize supply, pricing and buyer trust.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial track record in category management or marketplace.
• Experience building and executing a growth strategy with P&L accountability.
• Data-led, action-oriented approach to diagnosis and planning.
• Proven people leadership experience and ability to coach specialists.
• Entrepreneurial energy with strong commercial curiosity.
• Decisiveness and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and concise communication.
• Hands-on mindset balanced with strategic thinking.
• Comfort working with Google Suite.
• Interest/background in Asian Art, Tribal Art or Collectables is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, own and execute the growth plan for Asian & Tribal, identifying key bets and translating them into action.
• Own the category P&L and drive growth, margin, quality and operational stability.
• Steer the full auction-performance funnel including supply, pricing and buyer experience.
• Shape auction planning around seasonality, market dynamics and collector behaviour.
• Develop external networks and represent Catawiki with credibility among sellers and institutions.
• Lead and develop an international team of Experts with clear accountability.
