Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Senior Category Lead for Art – Primary Market to bring structure and ownership to the team. You’ll turn priorities into clear plans, coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, and coach others to own outcomes in the contemporary art market.

Based in Amsterdam with hybrid work, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Marketing and product teams to translate strategy into practical improvements that enhance the experience for buyers and sellers.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of creating structure, setting priorities, and executing in a category or commercial team.
• Ability to coach colleagues and drive ownership of outcomes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Interest in contemporary art and the primary art market.

Responsibilities

• Create a clear operating rhythm with owners, milestones and follow-ups.
• Clarify workflows, handovers, bottlenecks and blockers to enable delivery.
• Set goals, provide feedback and develop team members.
• Hold regular 1:1s and support growth in partnership with the Senior Category Manager.
• Use data to identify risks, opportunities and drive focused actions.
• Translate strategy into delivery by coordinating cross‑functional initiatives.
• Identify category growth opportunities by leveraging market and performance insights.
