Job summary

SFC Energy B.V. is seeking a Strategic Buyer to lead procurement for raw materials and components, aligning supplier strategies with product introduction timelines.

You will manage supplier relationships, contract terms, and performance, while collaborating with Engineering and Project Buying teams to ensure a resilient, cost‑effective supply chain. The role requires a technical business administration background, high‑tech purchasing experience, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technical business administration or similar field and NEVI 1.
• Experience in purchasing in a high‑tech environment.
• Knowledge of electronics or mechatronics; high power components are a plus.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Direct, proactive and hands‑on mindset; strong negotiation, strategic thinking, risk assessment, decision making and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual supplier strategies aligned with procurement objectives.
• Research and analyze the supplier market in collaboration with Engineering and Project Buying teams.
• Define purchasing specifications with internal stakeholders.
• Source, select, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, technical capabilities, delivery performance and cost.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms; make supplier selection recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers by market research and visiting suppliers and trade fairs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable, cost-efficient supply chain.
