Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Engineer for Observability to drive the long-term evolution of our global telemetry and monitoring platform. You will bridge complex telemetry infrastructure with developer tooling, AI-ready data models, and scalable pipelines across hybrid environments.

The role emphasizes leadership, architectural design, and collaboration with product teams to deliver resilient, scalable observability at scale in Amsterdam-based offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software, systems, or platform engineering with leadership in observability or large-scale data systems.
• Experience designing and scaling telemetry data engines (search, logging, metrics) at multi-petabyte scale.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and SRE practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic architecture for a global observability platform aligned with product vision.
• Scale data foundation with petabyte-scale telemetry pipelines and optimized datastores.
• Enable intelligent observability with AI-ready telemetry and interfaces for real-time diagnostics.
• Establish resilient topologies with regional architectures and high availability.
• Develop self-service tooling and GitOps-driven configuration for developers.
