Adyen is seeking a Staff Engineer in Observability to drive the long-term evolution of our global telemetry and monitoring ecosystem. You will bridge high-scale telemetry infrastructure and developer pipelines, shaping Intelligent Observability and Zero-Friction configuration across regions.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product groups to build scalable, automated diagnostics and unified data foundations that reduce cognitive load and improve

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software, systems, or platform engineering.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role within observability or large-scale data systems.

Responsabilités

• Drive Strategic Architecture: set long-term strategy for a unified, global observability platform.
• Scale the Data Foundation: lead petabyte-scale search, logging, and metrics upgrades.
• Enable Intelligent Observability: design APIs and interfaces for AI-driven diagnostics.
• Establish Resilient Topologies: modular regional architectures for high availability.
• Simplify Developer Experience: create self-service tooling and GitOps workflows.
• Technical Leadership: provide direction and rigorous design reviews.
• Advocate Company-Wide: promote observability standards across teams.
