Job summary

Yuno is hiring a Staff Engineer to shape the data platform powering cross-border payments. You will define architecture, lead end-to-end data initiatives, and drive reliability and data quality across teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence standards, and partner with product and AI groups to deliver scalable data solutions in a remote-first environment. Strong SQL/Python and cloud data experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
• Staff-level experience
• Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, StarRocks or equivalent
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Data quality, observability, and governance knowledge
• English proficiency, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Define architecture within the data platform and deliver end-to-end projects
• Lead design of scalable, low-latency data pipelines for high-volume transactions
• Mentor engineers and set quality standards across the team
• Own platform reliability — SLAs, data quality, alerting and incident response
• Collaborate with Product, AI, and Finance to translate needs into data solutions
