Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking a Staff/Principal software engineer to own a major area of the Applications stack for the Voyager SDK. You will shape deployment tooling, end-to-end pipelines, and integration frameworks enabling rapid prototyping and production AI on Axelera devices.

You will work with cutting-edge tech, optimize memory/latency across heterogeneous hardware, mentor engineers, and influence the roadmap with product and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS/EE or equivalent with 8+ years of hands-on AI/semiconductor experience.
• Expert-level Python and C++ development for AI apps and pipelines.
• Strong background deploying ML models on edge hardware with memory/latency optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for a major area of the Voyager SDK application layer.
• Define reusable architectures for image pre/post processing and decoders, and partner with the compiler team for optimization.
• Drive integration of industry-standard model frameworks into the SDK for low-code/no-code deployment.
• Define metadata representations for common model types and own libraries used to eval accuracy and render results on Axelera hardware.
• Take accountability for pipeline latency and throughput across hardware platforms and develop profiling tools.
• Mentor engineers, drive documentation standards, and promote best practices across the team.
