Job summary

Telespazio Belgium is seeking a skilled End-to-End System Engineer to join the ESTEC-based team on a contractor basis for the European Space Agency. You will install and operate Linux-based workstations and servers, deploy containerised simulations with Docker and Kubernetes, and integrate multi-language simulation components.

A security clearance is required. You will work on distributed simulation workloads, configure networking and storage, and contribute to the SIMULUS orchestration layer,

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux workstation/server administration and scripting.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and distributed simulation environments.
• Exposure to aerospace, satellite or mission simulation is useful but not required.
• Experience with container technologies and Linux networking is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux workstations and servers for End-to-End System Lab.
• Deploy and operate containerised simulation components using Docker or equivalent.
• Set up Kubernetes orchestration for distributed simulations across multiple compute nodes.
• Configure networking, storage and basic monitoring for lab systems.
• Develop scripts and utilities for integration, testing and KPI extraction.
• Support PoC demos and collect performance evidence for scenarios.
• Prepare interfaces for higher-fidelity experiments including SDR and RF test equipment.
• Debug complex software integration issues across simulation frameworks and container platforms.
• Contribute to SIMULUS orchestration layer lifecycle, config management and logging.
• Integrate C++, Java and Python simulation components into a common environment.
• Document installation procedures and troubleshooting steps.
