Job summary

Telespazio Belgium, serving ESA ESTEC in the Netherlands, seeks an End to End Communications Systems Engineer to design, implement and validate simulation tools and analyses for space missions. The role involves collaborating across international teams and contributing to mission studies and performance assessments.

We require a Master’s in a relevant field, strong programming in Python/C++/MATLAB, and experience in simulation, modelling and system analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in simulation, modelling, and analysis of complex systems.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop the Section’s Simulation and Analysis Tools.
• Design, implement, test, and validate new simulation capabilities and analytical functions.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and documentation of simulation software and tools.
• Support CCSDS standards and standardization activities.
• Contribute to the definition, review, and implementation of technical standards.
• Perform dedicated simulations and analyses in support of mission development activities.
• Support mission studies, trade‑off analyses, and system performance assessments.
• Conduct simulations and technical analyses for R&D programmes.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on analytical results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders across projects.

Telespazio Belgium has an on‑site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we are looking for a highly skilled End to End Communications Systems Engineer to work there.

What is expected from you:

• Conduct simulations and technical analyses for research and development (R&D) programmes.

What you offer:

• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and analytical methodologies.
• Familiarity with space mission analysis, spacecraft operations, or communication systems.
• Knowledge of CCSDS standards and/or participation in standardization activities is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in an international environment.
