ESA is seeking two Power Management Engineers for the Power Management and Distribution Section at ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands. The roles focus on power system design, distribution architectures, and control for spacecraft, contributing to R&D and early-phase mission concepts.

Reporting to the Head of Section, you will engage in feasibility studies, instrument power budgets, FPGA-related control, and collaboration with laboratory teams to advance technology and ensure robust power solutions

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis including power/energy budget assessment.
• Design and verification of DC/DC converters and power processing units.
• Knowledge of power systems for smallsats and secondary power systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert technical support to ESA projects across all project phases.
• Participate in feasibility studies and procurement evaluation.
• Identify development problems and assist remediation.
• Define technology development requirements and work plans.
• Participate in R&D activities for long- and short-term needs.
• Drive laboratory activities and maintain state-of-the-art expertise.
• Cooperate with other divisions to harmonise technology roadmaps.
