Job summary

Telespazio BeNeLux is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability System Engineer to work at ESTEC, Netherlands, as a contractor for Telespazio BeNeLux. The role requires eligibility for EU security clearance and involves on-site ESTEC work with a relocation package.

You will provide systems engineering support for sustainability across ESA projects, develop and promote sustainability considerations, and contribute to technology strategy and R&D activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the relevant field.
• Knowledge and experience in Sustainability Engineering topics (Clean Space, Zero Debris, Eco-Design, Space Circular Economy, Active Debris Removal, InOrbi Servicing).
• Knowledge and experience with environmental regulations, such as REACh and RoHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and studies, including sustainability aspects.
• Support project reviews and evaluation of proposals.
• Develop and promote sustainability considerations and infuse them into projects.
• Participate in feasibility studies as Sustainability expert.
• Develop and improve tools and methods for injecting sustainability in early assessment studies.
• Define and support ESA technology strategy and R&D work plans.
