Job summary

European Space Agency (ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands) seeks a seasoned EO Future Mission End-to-end System and Performance Engineer to shape next-generation satellite missions from Phase 0/Phase A. You will translate user needs into mission requirements, lead small teams, and drive system simulations in close collaboration with the mission science division.

Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering or physics (required).
Six years of relevant professional experience preferred.
Knowledge of EO missions, space engineering, and user needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Act as Study Manager for pre-Phase A and mission/architecture studies, defining and managing industrial activities.
Coordinate a small team of engineers and ensure effective handover after mission approval.
As Technical Officer, manage Consolidation Phase activities for Scouts and related in-orbit concepts.
Lead end-to-end performance simulator development and ensure alignment with user needs and mission requirements.
Support evaluation and management of EO mission proposals and derisking activities.
