Job summary

SSC Space Netherlands is seeking two End-to-End Mission Performance Engineers to join our space systems team in the Netherlands. You will work in a Linux remote environment performing simulations and software verification for mission performance, across C/C++ and Python components, including optical-imager tools.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of Linux environments: command line, scripts, logs, permissions, SSH, FTP/SFTP/FTPS.
  • Good understanding of C/C++ and Python: read code, interpret errors, adjust parameters.
  • Competence in using Docker: start/stop containers, rebuild images, maintain stable env.
  • Proven expertise with optical instruments (imagers) for simulation and processing.
  • Good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

  • Support systems engineering with simulations to assess mission performance.
  • Operate End-to-End simulators and related software tools in remote Linux environments via CLI.
  • Support reviews of E2E mission performance software components in C/C++ and Python.
  • Provide support in production and verification of test data sets for simulators.
  • Assist in in-orbit commissioning activities preparation.
  • Contribute to analysis of data from calibration campaigns.
  • Identify software anomalies and report to developers.
  • Perform software installation, integration, and environment setup on remote Linux servers.
  • Support verification of requirements and tracking status via Verification Control Boards.
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide input.
