About the role

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is looking for a Spa Therapist to join our Akasha Spa team.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Providing wellness and beauty treatments to the highest level of quality by following our service standards
• Conducting treatment consultations with high levels of emotional intelligence and adapting quickly to the guests’ needs and requirements
• Maintaining the cleanliness of treatment rooms during downtime
• Providing advice on wellness products to ensure retail sales
• Adhering to health and safety standards at all times

As a Spa Therapist you will work on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 38 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning and afternoon shifts (including weekends and holidays), so flexibility is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Academic background in hospitality, health, wellness or sports
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a therapist in a spa, preferably in a luxury setting
• Excellent proficiency in the English language (Dutch is a plus)
• A strong sense of responsibility: always follows up, is accurate and knows how to deliver exceptional and personalised service
