Job summary

Personio is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the Go-to-Market team in Amsterdam, supporting UKI and Benelux sales. You will bridge technical depth with commercial goals, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Customer Success on high-impact opportunities.

The role requires 2-3+ years in Solutions Engineering, a SaaS/IT security mindset, and excellent English; Dutch is a plus. 3 days in office, 2 days remote, with 20 Flex Days for remote work.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar profession.
• Technical background with SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols.
• Customer-centric and commercially driven.
• Data-driven, analytical, able to rightsize efforts based on customer/business needs.
• Up to date knowledge in security/compliance (e.g. ISO27k).
• Clear and structured communication style for changing dynamics.
• Full-professional proficiency in English; Dutch a plus.
• AI fluency: hands-on experience using AI to improve workflow and know when to rely on it.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for our sales team focusing on Medium Business customers in UKI and Benelux.
• Collaborate with account executives on sales opportunities to determine and validate technical requirements, product use cases and solution scope.
• Serve as the product expert for sales and prospects with deep knowledge of Personio’s product suite.
• Support creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including ROI/TCO calculations.
• Support other regions/markets as required.
• Travel to customer sites as needed (10-20% of time).

As a Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Go to Market organization, reporting to the Manager of International Solutions Engineering. You will work primarily with our UKI & Benelux sales teams supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will also be the interface between Sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success on technical topics and product-related projects

Role Responsibilities: What you’ll do

• Full-professional proficiency in English required, Dutch is a plus
• AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience using AI to improve your workflow, and the sound judgment to know exactly when to rely on it and when to step in yourself.
