Job summary

Sioux in Apeldoorn is seeking a Software Tech Lead to provide day-to-day technical leadership for a software team developing high-tech products for semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, and medical equipment industries. You’ll ensure timely delivery and strong architectural decisions.

You’ll shape design, CI/CD, and development practices, collaborate with the Development Center Manager and customers, and coach engineers.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in technical (embedded) software development, including experience leading, coaching, or technically guiding a software team.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to organize team activities in a structured manner.
• Experience with software design and architecture, as well as development practices such as continuous integration, build automation, and configuration management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to connect people, maintain overview, and take initiative when adjustments are needed.
• Affinity with C, C++, C#, and/or Python development on Linux or Windows platforms.
• Knowledge of UML, Design Patterns, CAFCR, and CI/CD practices.

• Facilitate Scrum activities, including sprint planning, reviews, and demos, and maintain related administration.
• Safeguard and further develop the technical content, including requirements, design, architecture, and implementation decisions.

• Monitor progress, quality, risks, and technical coherence, and initiate corrective actions.
• Actively contribute to software development as a senior software engineer where appropriate.

As a Software Tech Lead, you are responsible for the day-to-day technical leadership and direction of a software team. You actively contribute to technical work and act as the link between the team, the Development Center Manager, and the customer.
