Job summary

Sioux Group in the Netherlands is seeking a seasoned Software Designer to design, develop and test software for high-tech machines across semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industries. You will work from our Mijdrecht office or at client sites in the Randstad region, delivering robust software solutions.

You will translate requirements into designs, guide a development team, and grow into a role with technical contributions across projects, while maintaining quality, scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in technical software development.
• 4–5 years in Semicon, Medical, or Analytical domains.
• Experience with at least two of: C#, C++, or Java.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, UML and Agile.
• Ability to coach junior engineers.
• Team player with Dutch and English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel with a valid EU driving license.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and system requirements into innovative, clear concepts during the conceptual phase.
• Act as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
• Take responsibility for a module/subsystem throughout the software lifecycle.
• Ensure software quality, scalability and maintainability through sound engineering practices.

As a Software Designer C#/C++/JAVA, you develop software for high-tech products and machines.

In this role, you support our clients in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industries mainly in the Randstad area with smart, sustainable, and reliable software solutions. Your software expertise plays a crucial role in bringing these high-tech solutions to life.

As a Software Designer, you contribute to defining requirements and you are responsible for translating them into robust software designs, ensuring high-quality implementation and seamless integration. From our office in Mijdrecht and at our clients' premises you work on challenging projects that take technology to the next level. You are the expert who designs, develops, and tests, but also likes to think along, connect, and contribute to team results, and who likes to:

• Acting as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.

• Applying strong communication skills to effectively guide and mentor a team of engineers, helping them grow and deliver high-quality results.

Your future workplace

This is what you bring to the table

• You have a technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• You have 7+ years of experience in technical software development, gained in various roles and across diverse product environments and/or projects.
• Over the past 4-5 years, you have worked within technical domains such as Semicon, Medical, or Analytical.
• You have experience with at least two of the following programming languages: C#, C++, or Java.
• You have knowledge of and/or experience with various development methodologies and techniques such as Design Patterns, UML, and Agile, and you keep your technical expertise up to date. You are looking for an environment where you can apply these developments in practice as well.
• Based on your experience, you are able to coach junior engineers.
• You are a team player and keep the common goal in mind.
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• You hold a valid European driver’s license and are willing to travel.
