If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges and want to turn advanced sensor technologies into integrated, real-world defense solutions, we encourage you to apply.
PREZIS operates within the defense industry and focuses on advanced solutions in the fields of Counter-UAS (C-UAS), Electronic Warfare (EW), Predictive Analysis, and Precision Strike. In a rapidly evolving international environment, we work every day on technologies that truly matter.
As PREZIS continues to develop its Counter-UAS capabilities, we are looking for an R&D Engineer to integrate advanced sensor technologies, develop sensor fusion and tracking algorithms, and contribute to the next generation of our detection and situational awareness systems.
Job Description
As R&D Engineer – Counter-UAS & Sensor Fusion, you work on the development and integration of multi-sensor solutions for detecting, tracking, and locating unmanned aerial systems (UAS). You combine data from different sensor technologies, including radar, optical, acoustic, and other specialized sensing systems, to create a reliable and comprehensive picture of the surrounding airspace.
You take ownership of integrating third-party sensors into PREZIS’ platforms and developing the software components that process, correlate, and fuse sensor data. Your work contributes directly to improving detection accuracy, tracking performance, geolocation, and situational awareness within our integrated Command & Control (C2) solutions.
You work closely with software engineers, technical specialists, and external technology partners to develop, test, and validate solutions in both laboratory and real-world environments. This is a hands‑on engineering role where research, software development, system integration, and practical testing come together.
Key Responsibilities
Sensor Integration & System Development
- Integrate third-party sensors, including military-grade sensing payloads, into PREZIS’ Counter-UAS platforms.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between radar, optical, acoustic, and other sensor systems.
- Design and implement software components for sensor data acquisition, processing, and integration.
- Ensure reliable communication and interoperability between sensors, processing systems, and C2 applications.
Sensor Fusion & Tracking
- Develop, implement, and optimize sensor fusion algorithms to combine data from heterogeneous sensors.
- Build and improve tracking, track association, state estimation, and geolocation components within PREZIS’ processing pipelines.
- Apply techniques such as Kalman filtering and coordinate transformations to improve tracking accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze sensor performance and improve the reliability of multi‑sensor detection and tracking solutions.
Software Development & Integration
- Develop and maintain software in C++, Rust, and Python for real‑time sensor processing and integration
- Work with Linux‑based development environments, ROS2, Docker, and relevant software frameworks.
- Develop modular, maintainable software components that can be integrated into existing PREZIS platforms.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers to translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Testing, Validation & R&D
- Design and execute laboratory and field tests to evaluate sensor integration, fusion algorithms, and tracking performance.
- Analyze test data, identify performance limitations, and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with internal specialists and external partners to evaluate new sensor technologies and integration opportunities.
- Document technical developments, test results, and system performance.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience in software development, preferably using C++, Rust, or Python.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion, signal processing, tracking algorithms, or multi‑sensor systems.
- Understanding of mathematical concepts such as Kalman filtering, state estimation, track association, and spatial coordinate transformations.
- Experience working with Linux‑based development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions.
- Hands‑on and structured, with an interest in both software development and physical system integration.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Preferred: Experience with ROS2, Docker, and real‑time data processing; integration of radar, optical, acoustic, or RF sensors; development of geolocation or tracking algorithms; experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, aerospace, or Counter‑UAS applications.
