Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is hiring a Full Stack Developer in Amsterdam to help build the next-generation analytics platform for investment management. You will work in a multidisciplinary DevOps team alongside data engineers and AI squads to deliver API-driven, user-friendly analytics tools.

You will contribute to cloud deployments, API design, and automated testing, while keeping a strong focus on data quality, safety and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of Python software development experience.
• Solid understanding of Git and SQL queries.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.
• Experience with API design and automated testing.
• Curious to understand financial markets and processes.

You will be working in a multidisciplinary DevOps team building the next-generation analytics platform for our investment management business. We integrate AI solutions into our platform for investment research; we are custodians of large sets of ESG data using modern data engineering tools and we create user friendly interfaces that enable analysts and portfolio managers to stay in control of their data and the analytics they perform on top of it.

The team consists of data engineers and collaborates closely with our AI teams and other analytics-supporting DevOps team. Your software engineering perspective will help us improve APIs, end-user AI-infused apps, and quality control. As a team and individual, you work closely with the business to make sure you understand their use cases well and provide them with the tooling they need to progress.

Each member of the team is involved with slicing product challenges, gathering requirements, designing solutions, making architectural decisions, and engaging with stakeholders. Given the high stakes of our business, we place great importance on the quality and safety of our software and data, ensuring our applications run smoothly with minimal errors or potential impacts from mistakes.
