At Van‘Lanschot‘Kempen, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact in the dynamic world of private markets. As an Analyst within our Alternative Manager Research team, you’ll work on innovative solutions that not only deliver returns but also create societal value.
You’ll combine financial expertise with data and sustainability in a global investment universe. The team manages strategies in alternative categories such as private real estate, private debt, private infrastructure, private equity, and natural capital, with total assets under management of approximately €5.6 billion.
We listen to our clients’ needs and translate them into tailored solutions. Often, we do this through external funds, but when suitable funds are not available, we develop innovative structures together with the client. This approach has helped us build a strong track record in selecting best‑in‑class managers and creating customized solutions.
We work with a data‑driven investment process, leveraging technology and IT to complement our fundamental expertise. Our thorough Impact and Sustainability (ESG) approach ensures that you contribute not only to attractive returns but also to positive societal impact.
Responsibilities
- Analyze investment opportunities within illiquid asset classes: private debt, private real estate, private infrastructure, private equity and natural capital.
- Maintain contact with renowned managers and assess how they score against our criteria.
- Monitor managers and process data into automated reports.
- Combine knowledge of investing, data, and ESG/impact.
Your Profile
- A completed university degree (WO), preferably in econometrics, finance, or a similar field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in financial services. Affinity with investing in illiquid markets such as real assets, private debt or private equity.
- A true team player with excellent communication skills and the drive to make processes smarter and more efficient.
- Programming or coding skills (preferably Python and/or SQL).
- Interest in how AI can contribute to process optimisation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Benefits
- A gross monthly salary between €3 600 and €4 500, commensurate with your knowledge and experience.
- An additional flexible budget of 19.47 % of your gross salary (including a 13th‑month, 8 % holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days). You can utilise this by buying a bike, paying a monthly gym membership, or saving up for a sabbatical! It is also possible to have the full budget paid out at any time during the year.
- An employee share plan, where Van‘Lanschot‘Kempen doubles your investment (up to €3 500 a year) in Van‘Lanschot‘Kempen shares.
- 27 leave days, 7 of which are part of the flexible budget (regular contract).
- Work‑from‑home equipment such as an electric standing desk, chair, and any number of screens you wish to order and have sent to your home.
- Customised leave arrangements for certain life events, such as grandparental leave, transition leave, bereavement leave, etc.
- 1 month fully paid when you take a sabbatical of 3 months or longer.
