Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen’s Evi unit is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to modernise the commercial data warehouse and prepare the platform for data-driven marketing. You will build robust data solutions in Azure to support segmentation, automation and analytics, while collaborating with marketers, analysts and tech teams.

You will work in a start-up-like environment in Amsterdam, with hybrid working, a flexible budget, a MacBook or Dell and an iPhone, plus conferences and an excellent pension

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in using Databricks to build, optimise and monitor data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-aware delivery.

We are looking for an experienced and future-oriented Data Engineer to strengthen the Evi Van Lanschot Kempen, online wealth manager part of Van Lanschot Kempen. As a Data Engineer in Evi’s Commercial Data team, you will play a key role in modernising our commercial data warehouse and preparing the platform for the next phase of data-driven marketing. In this role, you will help build the data foundation for smarter, more personal and more effective marketing by developing and maintaining our commercial data warehouse in Azure. Your work will ensure that high-quality, reliable and well-structured data is available to the commercial department. Working closely with marketers, data specialists, analysts and technology colleagues, you will translate commercial and client needs into scalable data solutions that improve relevance, personalisation and segmentation.

You also have:

• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in data engineering
• Expertise in using Databricks to build, optimise and monitor data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-aware delivery.
• Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses and designing future-ready data models that support segmentation, campaign automation, analytics and hyperpersonalisation use cases, preferably in a marketing, customer analytics or commercial data environment.
• A growth mindset and genuine interest in marketing, customer behaviour, personalisation and new dat technologies.
• Ability to act as a bridge between commercial stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into secure, scalable and impactful data solutions.
• Experience using a range of AI applications to supportyour professional activities.
• Good mastery of English, both oral and written.

• A gross monthly salary between €4.500 and €5.500, compatible with your knowledge and experience.
