Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a fullstack engineer to bridge native iOS development and backend API work in C#/.NET. You will contribute to a native iOS app and the accompanying REST API layer, supporting AI-powered ClientCenter capabilities for bankers and relationship managers within a secure corporate environment.

The role requires hands-on experience across mobile and backend domains, familiarity with MVVM and Clean Architecture, and strong CI/CD practices in Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing native iOS apps, preferably with Swift and SwiftUI.
• 3+ years of experience developing REST APIs in C# / .NET
• Robust design of robust, maintainable, and scalable APIs with sound architecture
• Familiarity with design patterns, testing (unit/integration), and CI/CD
• Knowledge of Clean Architecture and MVVM, and experience with dependency injection
• Experience integrating with Azure and related DevOps tooling for mobile apps

Are you a great engineer ready to take on a new challenge, bridging native mobile development and backend API development? We are looking to extend our team with a passionate fullstack engineer who is strong in either native iOS development or backend REST API development in C#/.NET — and has working knowledge of the other side. You understand the full landscape needed to run enterprise apps reliably, including APIs, authentication, and CI/CD.

The Client AI & Analytics team is building AI-powered tools inside ClientCenter, our custom platform used by private bankers, relationship managers, and other commercial staff to manage client relationships and deliver highly personalized client service at scale. We build practical, impactful AI tools that fit naturally into how bankers and advisors actually work, always with humans firmly in the loop.

Over the past period, the team has added a growing set of AI-powered capabilities to the platform, including meeting preparation, live transcription, automated documentation, data quality improvements, and compliance support. We are now taking the next step: developing a native iOS app, backed by our C#/.NET API layer, that makes these intelligent capabilities available anytime, anywhere, on secure managed devices within our corporate environment.

As a fullstack engineer, you will help build the corporate mobile app and the backend that powers it, enabling our commercial colleagues to work faster, smarter, and more effectively, with AI-assisted ClientCenter functionality right at their fingertips.

You have strong experience in at least one of the following, and working knowledge of the other:

iOS development

• 3+ years of experience developing native iOS apps, preferably with Swift and SwiftUI

• Strong understanding of REST architectural principles (resources, statelessness, idempotency, proper use of HTTP methods/status codes) and experience applying this when consuming APIs in a mobile context

. NET API development

• 3+ years of experience developing REST APIs in C# / .NET

• Track record of designing robust, maintainable, and scalable APIs — sound architectural choices that hold up as the platform and usage grow

Across both profiles, you also have:

• Familiarity with design patterns, testing (unit/integration tests), continuous integration and deployment

• Solid understanding of Clean Architecture and MVVM principles, and experience with dependency injection

• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Azure is a strong plus

What makes you stand out:

• Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure (for example Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines) for mobile apps.

• Experience developing and deploying corporate mobile apps in managed environments, such as Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Microsoft Intune (e.g. app protection policies, app configuration, distribution to managed devices).

• Affinity with broader software engineering topics (logging, monitoring, observability, security-by-design) and collaborating with backend / platform engineers.
