Job summary

Jobtailor in Amsterdam seeks a platform-focused engineer to own end-to-end discovery and delivery of core features enabling scalable insurance platform capabilities across markets.

Job description

• Own end-to-end discovery and delivery of crucial platform features enabling Insify to scale as an insurance business
• Turn new product demands into scalable platform capabilities across countries and insurance product lines
• Challenge existing ideas and contribute new approaches
• Provide technical leadership within the Insurance Platform team
• Shape how the platform handles new products and countries on a system serving live policies and customers
• Build reusable platform abstractions instead of custom integrations for each market launch
• Support end-to-end policy lifecycle management, including mid-term adjustments, automated renewals, cancellations, and payment flows
• Contribute to backoffice tooling for operations and support teams
• Collaborate with the Claims Team and Activation Teams

Requirements

• 3+ years building complex web applications and services, with real production ownership
• Ownership and impact instinct, including willingness to work across data, backend, and frontend when needed
• Ability to leverage AI effectively in daily work and articulate where it helped or hurt
• Strong fundamentals in domain-driven design and service-oriented architecture
• Experience building B2B products, especially in insurance and fintech (nice to have)
• Experience working on products distributed across different country markets (nice to have)
• Strong observability instincts (nice to have)
• TypeScript, AWS, infrastructure as code, and monorepo experience are relevant to the stack, though prior experience with all tools is not required
