With our own core technology, we create win‑win situations that offer more opportunities for both people and the planet.

The job

As Software Developer you develop and maintain software for camera and imaging systems. You will work with multidisciplinary R&D teams, you collaborate with system architects, optical designers, and electronics engineers.

Your work will ensure deterministic performance, efficient data handling, and robust system integration. Together, you help bring innovative imaging systems from concept and prototyping to scalable industrial solutions.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software for camera and imaging systems, including device control, image acquisition, configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Design and implement image processing pipelines for tasks such as correction, enhancement, filtering, segmentation, feature extraction, and analysis.
  • Integrate software with camera sensors, frame grabbers, lenses, illumination, and embedded or PC‑based platforms.
  • Optimize software for performance, latency, throughput, memory use, and reliability.
  • Support calibration and characterization of imaging systems, including color, geometric, radiometric, and focus‑related calibration where applicable.
  • Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to troubleshoot issues related to image quality, timing, synchronization, and interfaces.
  • Develop test tools, simulators, and automated validation frameworks for imaging functions and system performance.
  • Contribute to software architecture, coding standards, documentation, and design reviews.
  • Support product development from concept through verification, release, and sustaining engineering.
  • Analyze field or lab data to identify root causes and implement corrective improvements.
We are looking for
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software development for imaging, vision, or camera‑based systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
  • Experience with image processing libraries/frameworks such as OpenCV or equivalent.
  • Understanding of camera fundamentals, including sensors, exposure, gain, frame rate, dynamic range, noise, optics, and illumination.
  • Experience with camera interfaces and protocols such as USB3 Vision, GigE Vision, MIPI CSI, Camera Link, or CoaXPress.
  • Familiarity with real‑time data acquisition and performance optimization.
  • Experience with software debugging, testing, and version control tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
We offer
  • A competitive salary depending on experience,
  • 25 vacation days and 5 additional leave days (with the option to purchase up to 8 extra days),
