Job summary

De Groene Olifant in Amsterdam-East is seeking an experienced shift leader to join our cozy hospitality team. You will be the right hand of the manager, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high service quality on your shift.

You lead the floor team, set the standard, and be the main contact for guests and staff. Flexible availability at least two days a week, daytime and evening shifts, and a passion for people and hospitality are essential.

De Groene Olifant is a beautiful and old restaurant 2.0 in Amsterdam-East under the smoke of Artis. A place where good food, excellent service, hospitality, and quality drinks come first. This beautiful venue is the place where the whole neighbourhood loves to spend their free time! Hospitality and coziness are paramount in this concept, and everyone is welcome for a nice beer on the terrace, a delicious bottle of wine with a cheese board, an extensive dinner in the evening, or a cocktail in the late hours. We are now looking for experienced (or less experienced) shift leaders. As a shift leader, you are jointly responsible for the daily operations. You function as the right hand of the manager, think along, direct, and ensure that the quality of, among others, the service remains high. You ensure that your shift runs smoothly!

Job Description

• You take responsibility for your shift;
• You make the guests of the Groene Olifant feel completely at home;
• You lead the team you stand on the floor with;
• You set the standard and thereby inspire the rest of the team;
• You keep an overview of the venue;
• You guarantee the quality of service and the product at all times;
• You are the point of contact for both your team and guests;
• You work neatly and comply with HACCP hygiene requirements.
