Job summary

Forkliftcenter in Amsterdam invites a skilled Service Mechanic to maintain and overhaul used forklifts and port equipment. You will ensure machines are safe, reliable, and ready for rental or export, working in a professional workshop with modern tooling.

Responsibilities include repairing diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts, diagnosing faults, and preparing units for transport. You will collaborate with a team of experienced mechanics and have access to training and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• MBO level 3/4 education in a technical field.
• Demonstrable experience with maintenance or overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electronics.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and analyze faults.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English.
• Driver's license B (E is a plus).
• Keurmeester (inspection) certificate is a plus, or willing to obtain one with us.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs and inspections on diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts.
• Locating and resolving faults (mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical).
• Repairing engines, axles, pumps, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Carrying out welding, straightening, and frame repair work.
• Preparing machines for transport or delivery.
• Working with diagnostic equipment and technical drawings.
• Occasionally carrying out work on site at customer locations.
