Job summary

STX Group is seeking a Trade Control Analyst to strengthen the middle office in our Biofuels, Feedstocks & Tickets business. You will own daily trade control across product types, perform P&L checks, and work with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Tech to improve controls and automation.

The role offers ownership and progression in a fast-growing trading platform, with exposure to senior stakeholders and relocation support to the Amsterdam office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Trade Control, Product Control, Middle Office, Risk or similar in a commodity trading environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with data-heavy tasks and tight deadlines.
• Solid commercial awareness—understand how trades generate profit and where issues arise.
• Advanced Excel skills; Python, SQL or BI tools provide a clear advantage.
• Comfortable challenging Front Office and senior stakeholders constructively.
• Experience with ETRM systems is a plus; fluent in English; Dutch is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own daily trade control across product types, ensuring accurate capture and handling of amendments.
• Perform daily P&L and position checks; investigate anomalies with clear explanations.
• Maintain market data and valuation integrity, challenging outcomes that misalign with economics.
• Partner with Front Office, Trade Ops, Risk, Finance and Tech to provide constructive challenge.
• Drive improvements through system changes and automation to reduce manual work and errors.
• Support introduction of new products and processes as the platform evolves.
