Job summary

Gate Gourmet, part of Gategroup, seeks an experienced Thai Chef for Schiphol Airport. You will lead the kitchen team, preparing authentic Thai and premium Western dishes while upholding the highest standards of quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate holds a formal culinary qualification, an advanced Thai cuisine credential, and 10+ years as a professional Thai Chef with 5+ years in supervision. English fluency is required; Dutch is an advantage.

Qualifications

Formal culinary qualification required.
Advanced Thai cuisine credential essential.
At least 10 years as a professional Thai Chef.
5+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen.
Experience in airline catering or large-scale food service preferred.
Strong leadership and knowledge of food safety.
Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare authentic Thai and Western dishes per approved recipes and specifications.
Train and coach kitchen team to ensure quality and efficiency.
Monitor product yields and minimize food waste.
Perform quality checks to ensure meals meet culinary standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and Gate Gourmet procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
Contribute to menu development and support menu presentations for Thai Airways.
